History of the DoW CoP

Did you ever wonder where the Definition of Waste: Code of Practice (DoW CoP) came from? How did we get to where we are and what are the next steps perhaps? All is revealed in the article on its backstory which is now available on the CL:AIRE website (visit DoW CoP and see supporting materials).

CL:AIRE expands DoW CoP training to Northern Ireland

Belfast has been chosen as a new location for CL:AIRE's Definition of Waste: Code of Practice (DoW CoP) training, reflecting the growing demand for the DoW CoP beyond England and Wales, where it has been supported by regulators for many years. CL:AIRE has observed increasing attention across the UK and EU on how the DoW CoP aligns with circular economy principles. The expansion of CL:AIRE’s training locations fits well with its charitable remit of developing good practice training and information dissemination.  We are hoping to expand these offerings not just in the UK but in the EU and further overseas. For more information visit the DoW CoP training web page.

CL:AIRE publishes DoW CoP 2023 Auditing Summary Report

The audit activities conducted by CL:AIRE in 2023 are now summarised in this report. It provides general feedback on how well the industry met the requirements of the DoW CoP, highlights areas of weakness, and recommends potential improvement measures based on the audit findings.
